Job Description – Busser / Runner
• Set up the expedition area at the beginning of every shift.
• General cleanliness and upkeep of physical space.
• Table setting and clearing.
• Communicate with management and servers in regards to menu changes throughout service.
• Maintain guest water etc…
• Deliver food to the correct tables as needed.
• Greet guests professionally at table before serving.
• Replenish food and beverages when needed.
• Remove dishes from tables, bar and bus stations.
• Manicure tables.
• Restock clean dishes.
• Prepare dishes for washing by scraping and stacking them by type.
• Clean spilled food and drink.
• Complete side duties as required including restaurant set up and take down, trash duty, and
miscellaneous cleaning duties and special assignments.
• Follows checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Ensures that guests have a positive and memorable experience at Whetstone Station.
• Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
• Prepares work area for either opening, mid-shift, or closing in accordance with company
standards.
• Punches clock in full uniform, ready to work, and no earlier than five minutes prior to shift.

Requirements
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined during training.

Title Brewer

Job Information

Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery is looking for a qualified candidate to fill our open position of Brewer. We are a new, nano style brewery inside of the Whetstone Station Restaurant, on the water in downtown Brattleboro, VT. Due to our small size, the Brewer will be involved in every aspect of beer production and brewery operations and may even have some interaction with restaurant operations (i.e. beer dinners, etc…)

Our Brewer must have:

*A passion for craft beer and brewing
*More than one year experience working in a production brewery or brew pub with at least a working
knowledge of all aspects of beer production (wort production, yeast handling, racking, fining,
carbonating, packaging, CIP techniques, laboratory procedures, etc.). Additional experience in a
production brewery or as an all-grain home brewer is highly desirable.
*High mechanical aptitude
*An open and flexible mind and a strong desire to learn
*The ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
*The ability to repeatedly lift 55 lbs to a height of 5 feet and the ability to move 165 lbs.
*The ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a day
*The ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional early morning, late evening, and
weekend work.
*The ability and interest in a start-up brewery operation, including developing systems and procedures.

Duties will include:

*Ordering and maintenance of materials inventory
*Production of wort
*Management of fermentation
*Raw materials handling
*CIP of tanks and general brewery cleanliness
*Brewery basic maintenance
*All aspects of cellar operations
*Working as a representative of the brewery at festivals and special events
*Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate must live within, or be willing to relocate to, reasonable commuting distance of Brattleboro Vermont.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This position will begin as a part time, hourly position. The hours are extremely flexible as we await our federal license. In time, and along with growth, this will likely become a full time salaried position.
