Morningside is the only homeless shelter in southeastern Vermont. We specialize in housing placement and supportive housing services with ongoing staff support and life skills development for both families and individuals.
Windham County Humane Society
The Windham County Humane Society (WCHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of animals and enhancing the relationship between individuals and pets through adoption, education, advocacy, compassion and promotion of animal welfare.
The River Gallery School
Provides classes, studio space, and a working environment that encourages individual expression, where the visual arts and the creative process are explored and honored. We provide outreach opportunities in the form of student exhibitions, scholarships, community activities and collaborations with individuals and other organizations.

Brattleboro Walk-In Clinic
The Brattleboro Walk-In Clinic provides primary medical and dental treatment to persons regardless of their ability to pay and serve as a referral resource for the community and other service organizations. Their primary target is persons who are uninsured, underinsured, do not have a local physician or have some other barrier to accessing medical care.
United Way Windham County
Here at United Way we measure success by the difference we’re making in the lives of people in Windham County. We do this work by mobilizing the goodwill of hundreds of community members to raise money to meet the local need, and to then distribute the money raised, to have the greatest positive impact on a better quality of life for everyone. And in addition, United Way of Windham County is a catalyst for the creation of community solutions by working closely with the providers and other stakeholders to meet our constantly changing local challenges.
The Vermont Museum
The Southern Vermont Natural History Museum endeavors to foster an interest in nature, the environment and the natural sciences through exhibition, research and educational activities. The museum displays one of New England's largest collections of native species along with live animal exhibits, ecology, geology and natural history exhibits. With nearby access to over 600 protected acres of hiking trails, the family fun and adventure can continue outside year-round.
